Student Helper – AI for Secure Software Development and Vulnerability Analysis in Robotics (Cyber-Safe Robotics Project)
The Center for Industrial Software Engineering in Sønderborg is looking for a student helper to support the Cyber-Safe Robotics project. The position focuses on using AI to support secure software development and vulnerability analysis for robotic systems, as well as contributing to workshops for companies.
Position overview
The student will work with AI-based methods for secure software development, including AI-assisted threat modeling and identification of potential security weaknesses in robotic systems. A key part of the role is developing a lightweight AI-based prototype tool that generates vulnerability insights and threat scenarios from example software descriptions. The purpose of the tool is to support learning, discussion, and practical exercises in workshops with industry partners.

Key responsibilities
Apply AI tools to support secure software development and vulnerability analysis in robotic systems
Develop a lightweight AI-based prototype tool that generates potential vulnerabilities and threat scenarios from example system descriptions
Use AI-assisted approaches for threat modeling and security analysis for educational purposes
Develop practical exercises and cases for workshops used in company training
Contribute to AI-supported workshop material and demonstrations
Assist in preparing proof-of-concept examples for educational and training purposes
We expect that you
Have basic programming skills (e.g., Python, C++ or similar)
Have an interest in AI, cybersecurity, or robotics
Can work independently and in a structured way
Are motivated by applied, practice-oriented development tasks

Please note, the selected candidate as Student Assistant or Academic Supervisor must be enrolled as student at SDU.
