Student assistant with a strong quantitative profile for a project on inequality
At the Department of Organization, we are looking for a student assistant with a strong quantitative profile to support a research project on inequality in Denmark. The project is a part of the Danish Power Inquiry (Magtudredningen 2.0) - an ambitious and multi-year initiative investigating contemporary power structures in Denmark.
Work tasks
The project is led by Professor Nanna Mik-Meyer, who is part of the management of the Danish Power Inquiry 2.0, and is conducted in collaboration with Niels Ploug, former Director of social statistics at Statistics Denmark (DST).
Your primary responsibilities will include extracting and organizing register data from Statistics Denmark, as well as assisting in the development of a new database on inheritance in collaboration with DST. Additional tasks may include desktop data collection, organization of data (documents, interviews, meetings), analysis and coding of data, mapping of academic literature, organization of meetings etc.
Your workplace will be the Department of Organization, CBS.
Qualifications
The selected candidate is expected to have the following qualifications:
Payment and hire
Employment will take place according to the HK organization agreement and the Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Tax and Public Employees’ Organizations (OAO-S Joint Agreement).
The salary is between DKK 141.14 to DKK 148.06 and depends on previous employment within the office subject and level of education. The pension contribution amounts to 16% of the pensionable salary components.

Qualifications
The selected candidate is expected to have the following qualifications:
A strong academic profile in the social sciences, including experience with quantitative research methods
Strong quantitative research skills, with experience in data handling and statistical analysis
The ability to work independently and professionally with assigned tasks

Working hours: The job requires 12 hours a week and will be remunerated according to the price per hour established by the university. The position will be for 1 year.
Applicants must be actively enrolled students with at least one full year remaining in their current study program.
The position offers considerable flexibility in working hours, including the possibility to adjust schedule during exam periods.
